Half Day Costa Rica Sport Fishing Trips

You can begin you Half Day Fishing Trip at 7am at the dock at Los Suenos marina.

There you will be greeted by our Captain and the First Mate. You can decide to go inshore fishing or offshore fishing or go where the Captain and fleet have been catching the most fish. You will be back at the dock by 12:30.

Tortuga Island

Enjoy the day at Tortuga Island, an uninhabited island just over 3 square miles, in the Nicoya Gulf. Enjoy pristine white sand beaches. The calm water allows for some of the best snorkeling and spear fishing. Hike the forest, do some bird watching or just enjoying the remote islands on the beach or from the boat. You will have the opportunity to spot whales, dolphins and the sea turtles for which the island is named. Tortuga Island is described as “an immaculate paradise” but due to its popularity we recommend you visit during the week.

The Inshore Costa Rica Fishing Experience

You begin the day by catching bait fish to fish with. You will then fish close to the coast by going north or south or go across the bay to the Tourtoga Island region. You can fish for Rooster fish which can range from 15 to 60 pounds. It’s a beautiful fish that puts up a hard fight and is sot after by many anglers. You will spend the day around rocks fishing for roosters and also catching snapper, grouper or the occasional snook by the river mouths. This is a spectacular day filled with lots of scenery.

Incorporate fishing and sightseeing to or from your destination. Bring your luggage and we can arrange a pick up or drop you off in Montezuma or Tambour on the Nicoya peninsula.
